The Highline Rochester is a newly renovated wedding and event venue fashioned inside an old Cadillac car showroom building in Rochester’s bustling Neighborhood of the Arts.
The Highline, at 409 Alexander St., can accommodate up to 200 seated guests and as many as 300 standing, cocktail style.
The venue that officially opened in November 2020 projects a timeless, yet classic ballroom aesthetic, from its elegant chandeliers hanging in the space’s high industrial peaks, to its giant factory size windows.
Sisters Jessica Klein and Alyssa Cohen own and operate The Highline. The two have worked in the hospitality field for a combined 30-plus years and always dreamed of opening a venue of their own.
In 2020 they found a location and, working with their landlords, the space was completely renovated.
The Highline offers a private outdoor patio nestled in the back off of the Alexander Street entrance.
The entire renovation process happened during the pandemic. Contractor Loyal Nine Development pushed through each new obstacle the pandemic brought and the space opened a few months before the country re-opened.
The Highline hosted its first wedding in June of 2021.
