Monroe County has been allotted $620,911 and the city of Rochester will receive $342,800 in funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Fiscal Year 2022 Homeland Security Grant Program.

A total of $9 million will be awarded to 77 municipalities across New York through the State Homeland Security Program for upgrades to bomb squads, hazardous materials teams, explosive detection canine teams, tactical teams, technical rescue and urban search and rescue teams.
