Construction on 490/390 interchange on winter break (access required)


The New York State Department of Transportation doesn't use the calendar to determine the start of winter. Folks with the DOT use a thermometer, and they've decided winter has arrived. Thus, the construction project around the interchange of Interstate 490 and state Route 390, as well as the Lyell Road overpass and intersection, is on hiatus. Work is expected to resume in late February or early March, depending on the forecast.
