New York gas tax holiday begins (access required)

Motorists should start receiving relief at the gas pump as of Wednesday. New York State's sales and excise tax suspension will save drivers 16 cents a gallon while Monroe County has capped its tax at 8 cents a gallon. That means drivers will save around 26 or 27 cents per gallon.
