NYSCAR honors year’s top performers, recognizes top deals
Listen to this articlePete Gillett of Flaum Management Co., Inc. has been named Commercial Realtor of the Year by the Rochester chapter of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors.
A member of the Flaum team since 2019, Gillett’s focus is on the firm’s portfolio leasing along with tenant and landlord representation for office, medical, retail and industrial clients.
NYSCAR also honored the brokers behind the year’s notable real estate transactions as well as those who made significant contributions to the industry.
Other award winners:
» Roger Brandt Jr., president of Rochester’s Cornerstone Group, received the Allan D. Moore Lifetime Achievement Award;
» Evan Schaefer of Benchmark Realty Advisors was named Best New Talent;
» Matt Drouin, partner at OakGrove Companies, received the Meritorious Service Award;
» Scott DeVinney, vice president of commercial real estate lending for Evans Bank, was honored as Affiliate of the Year.
» Alex Amorese of CBRE Upstate NY was honored for the Deal of the Year for the former Lincoln Alliance Building, which has been transformed into Arbor Loft.
» John Antetomaso of RE/MAX Plus was recognized for the Sale of the Year, connecting the Wayne Central School District to K2 Brothers Brewing for transformation of a shuttered elementary school into a brewery and “adult playground” in the town of Walworth.
» Mercedes Brien of Coldwell Banker Commercial completed the Lease of the Year for a deal with the New York State Canal Corp.
