A Rochester marketing agency that specializes in helping businesses attain long-term sustained growth will devote Friday to helping students create their own brand identity.

The Napier Experience, created by Partners + Napier executive chair and founder Sharon Napier, aims to provide students with “a practical and inspirational experience” focused on the power of personal branding, networking and owning their unique story.

Now in its fifth year, the program is presented in partnership with Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Individualized Study. Napier is an RIT alum and trustee.

The day-long event features a series of speakers — including Napier, Elon University assistant provost and author Peter Felten, P + N director of agency experience Julia Sibley and former P + N head of talent Doug Parton — and concludes with three hours of interactive sessions on building a personal brand.

The prevailing message will center on the importance of leveraging social capital — “the collective wisdom of everyone you encounter, and your ability to activate that wisdom on your own behalf,” according to the program outline.
