Partyman Catering supports learning through scholarship program

Partyman CateringConnor Farmer, Charlotte Hence and Tama Webster are this year’s winners in the second annual Partyman Catering scholarship awards.

Farmer, a 2023 graduate of Avon High School, received the Community Scholarship, which is awarded to local high school senior who has displayed academic excellence and a desire to learn more about the culinary arts and hospitality industry.

Farmer has shown a penchant for building a business around his love of baking through a variety of academic endeavors. He will attend Finger Lakes Community College to study culinary arts and marketing.

A resident of Brighton, Hence is the lead server at Partyman Catering and a student at SUNY Geneseo who plans to attend veterinary school.

Webster, the firm’s logistic coordinator who is from Avon, will learn bowhunting this fall at an archery range. While not a traditional education, or even one rooted in the hospitality industry, Partyman Catering says it supports any form of learning by staff members.

“An inquisitive and motivated individual, dedicated to growth and learning, is someone worth investing in,” according to the news release by the Avon-based company.
