Monroe County launches online grant applications for arts organizations

Monroe County has launched an online grant application to provide funding for mid-sized arts organizations.

The program is meant to help organizations offset operating expenses for 2023.

Applications and program details can be found on the county website. Applications are being accepted starting today and through 5 p.m. on Sept. 5.

To be eligible, an organization must:

» conduct 50 percent of operations in Monroe County and have a physical location in the county;

» be legally recognized for at least one year as a 501(c)(3) organization or LLC with a tax filing;

» have a primary mission directly related to arts and culture;

» have an annual operating budget between $50,000 and $4 million;

Grant approval will be dependent on several factors, including the number of eligible applicants, evaluation of responses and available funds.

The county will provide an online informational session for organizations interested in obtaining funding at 6 p.m. on Aug. 7. Register through the program website.
