Charity race for Abilities Movement to take place this Saturday
Abilities Movement Inc. will hold its second annual BE YOU Run, Walk, and Wheel Charity Race at 9 a.m. on June 10 at Genesee Valley Park.
The event, which will raise funds for Abilities Movement programs, will bring together people of all fitness levels and abilities for a 5K race and a 1.25-mile walk. Runners, walkers and wheelchair users of all fitness levels are invited.
Fairport-based Abilities Movement helps facilitate fitness and sports opportunities for all individuals, including those with special needs or complex health challenges.
“We are excited to have the entire community join us for this Second Annual Abilities Movement BE YOU Run, Walk, and Wheel Charity Race event that provides an opportunity for fun and fitness for people of all abilities,” said Mike Tuller, the organization’s executive director. “The funds from this event will allow Abilities Movement to continue to increase innovative adapted fitness, sports, outdoor programming and community integration opportunities for individuals with special needs in the Greater Rochester community.”
