New leader takes the helm at Rochester Regional Health Foundations

Kelly Gagan has been named president of the Rochester Regional Health Foundations, effective immediately.

In the new role, Gagan will build upon the health system’s capital campaign and provide strategic and philanthropic leadership for the foundations.

Gagan comes to Rochester Regional as a 30-year fundraising veteran most recently from the University of Rochester where she served as associate vice president of University Advancement. There she led a 45-person team setting new benchmarks for philanthropy and donor engagement success.

Prior to UR, she served as vice president of Institutional Advancement at Nazareth.

Additionally, Gagan has served on numerous boards of organizations devoted to fundraising, domestic violence services, child advocacy and education.

Her notable accolades include the Robert A. Clinger Outstanding Professional Fundraiser Award, the Rochester Business Journal Women of Excellence Award and being named a 2020 Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce 2020 ATHENA Award finalist.

“I am deeply honored to join the Rochester Regional Health Foundations team and look forward to (building) upon strong partnerships established throughout the health care system,” Gagan said. “The depth and breadth of health care services provided, and the number of lives touched by RRH health care providers is humbling. With the foundation team I look forward to building upon a culture of philanthropy to benefit our community.”
