Van Bortel, Subaru donate $100,000 to two Rochester area organizations

Van Bortel, Subaru donate $100,000 to two Rochester area organizations
Kitty Van Bortel and the Van Bortel Subaru team has made donations for more than $100,000 to both the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester and It’s About Caring for Kids (IAC Kids).
The donations are part of the 2022 Subaru Share the Love Event, which supports causes in the communities served by the automaker’s dealerships.
The Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester and IAC Kids were chosen by Van Bortel Subaru as hometown charities for the 15th annual Share the Love Event.
Subaru donated $250 for every new vehicle purchased or leased between Nov. 17, 2022, and Jan. 3, 2023. Customers designated which of the two charities should receive the donation.
Kitty Van Bortel then matched each vehicle sale and lease by donating $125 to both charities.
The Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester, which provides support to those touched by breast and gynecologic cancer, a received a check for $108,062.
IAC Kids received $103,747 for its mission of providing financial assistance to local families facing childhood illness.
Throughout the 15 years of the Share the Love Event, Van Bortel Subaru has donated more than $1 million, and the national program has provided more than $255 million to organizations across the country.
