EVs in the spotlight at weekend event

EVs in the spotlight at weekend event

Electric vehicle drivers, dealers and enthusiasts, along with local sustainability organizations and environmental advocates will gather to highlight the clean air benefits and cost-savings of electric cars from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday at the Penfield Community Center in celebration of Drive Electric Earth Day.

Electric vehicle owners and dealers will present a variety of makes and models, including Tesla, BMW and Chevrolet, and will be available to answer questions and provide information about the benefits of owning and maintaining electric vehicles.

There will also be an electric school bus and raffles for a chance to win a level 2 charger or one of three solar power bank wireless chargers.

Electric vehicle manufacturing and demand are rapidly increasing in the U.S., with more than three million Americans making the switch to electric vehicles, and more than 100 models on the market today.

Penfield’s event is one of dozens of events across the country where communities will gather to celebrate Earth Day and the role that reducing transportation emissions plays in combating climate change, along with the personal and consumer benefits of electric vehicles.
