Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester – Seen

March 25 — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester’s annual gala, themed “The Big Night Out,” was held at Oak Hill Country Club, grossing a record breaking $120,000 for the organization. Proceeds will support the organization’s youth mentoring programs’ evidence-based approach, which creates positive outcomes including educational success, avoidance of risky behaviors, higher aspirations, greater confidence and improved relationships for the youth who participate.

2003 PGA Championship winner Shaun Micheel was the gala guest of honor. Micheel returned to Rochester for the first time since May 2019 when he was at Oak Hill Country Club for the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship.

Thanks to all who graciously attended and covered the press conference. This coverage was the impetus for more than 60 inquiries from community members to become Bigs.
