Kogler works extensively with closely held businesses, particularly in the construction and distribution sectors. As a trusted advisor to his clients, he provides strategic and proactive tax planning to business owners, top management and individuals, with a focus on generational succession planning, estate planning and entrepreneurial consulting.
Scott graduated from Syracuse University in 1993. He is an active member of the Construction Financial Management Association and holds several leadership roles in non-profit organizations including the Treasurer of Monroe Community College Foundation and past chair of the Foundation’s Investment Committee.
Kogler is married to an attorney and MD, Nancy Kung, and has four beautiful girls: Tori, Cassidy, Dakota and Alexandra.
Away from the office Scott enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking and spending time with family. His favorite spot to be in the summer is the family’s Adirondack Mountain camp on the Great Sacandaga Lake (near Saratoga, NY).
Something you may not know about Scott:
Scott was an avid singer and acapella performer in his youth, and (sometimes with his wife accompanying him on piano) still enjoys entertaining the family and supporting his children in the musical arts.
Scott is a big supporter of making college attainable – and affordable – for everyone and commits substantial time and energy working with Monroe Community College.
