What has been your organization’s biggest success over the past year?
Our biggest success has been in reconnecting and meeting with our clients to understand their needs since the pandemic. We are fortunate to have a strong referral base from our current clients and friends that has led us to continually grow.
What are your expectations for the next 6-12 months?
The insurance market is hardening. I expect that we will continue to see unprecedented rate increases among all insurance carriers. We will have to continue to remarket our clients to retain our current business and work hard to keep growing our new business.
What advice would you give somebody just starting out in your industry?
Make friends in the insurance industry. It is so helpful to have trusted advisors that you can turn to when you have questions or need help. Also, there is no better way to learn than by doing. You can read everything you can find about insurance, but it won’t prepare you for the day-to-day situations that occur.
What do you enjoy most about working in the Rochester area?
I love Rochester! It is a great place to work and play. I most enjoy that every time I meet someone new, we find that we have mutual connections. It is a very small city in that sense. I also love that people are so quick to support each other and multiple charities. There are so many good people helping others here.
