Goodwill’s Dancing in Denim gala slated for March 11
Goodwill of the Finger Lakes and Smola Consulting will host its annual gala, themed Dancing in Denim, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 11 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Rochester.
Attendees are encouraged to wear Black Tie Affair or their fanciest denim. The evening will include an open bar, dinner, silent and live auction, dancing, live music and entertainment by Shawn Your DJ Services.
The night will also feature an upcycled fashion show – featuring runway looks by local designers using denim thrifted from Goodwill of the Finger Lakes stores.
In addition, Goodwill will posthumously honor the life, legacy and leadership of Gwen Sterns, MD with the 2023 Visionary Award.
The evening’s emcee will be Dan Schrack of 13WHAM-TV, the gala’s media sponsor, and Racqui B. of WXXI and Beat 105.5 Radio.
All proceeds from this event will support Goodwill of the Finger Lakes community programs: 211 LIFELINE, Good Neighbor and Goodwill Vision Services.
