Trillium Health has named Jason Barnecut-Kearns as its next president and CEO, effective on July 1.

“We are thrilled to have Jason move into the CEO role,” said Cindy Becker, Trillium Health board chair. “Jason has spent years dedicated to Trillium’s mission of providing extraordinary affordable care to all people by spearheading efforts to provide resources from healthcare to transportation to those who need it where they need it.”

Barnecut-Kearns replaces Andrea DeMeo, who has served as Trillium Health’s CEO since January 2015.

Becker described DeMeo as a “dedicated CEO and instrumental in the success of the organization.”

“Andrea’s commitment to Trillium Health is to be commended and her vision for health care in Rochester has left the community in a better place,” Becker said.

Barnecut-Kearns will take over as president and CEO after spending the last five years overseeing Trillium Health’s finances, facilities, procurement, supportive services, grant management, FQHC administration, business intelligence, fundraising and donor engagement.

He also worked on strategic planning – ensuring that Trillium Health was looking to the future, mitigating risk and building on new opportunities.

“I am extremely honored to serve as the next President and CEO of Trillium Health,” said Barnecut-Kearns said. “I’m looking forward to growing Trillium Health and continuing to provide high-quality, affordable healthcare to everyone – regardless of their ability to pay. I will honor Trillium Health’s legacy as the leading LGBTQ+ healthcare provider in Rochester, and I will ensure that everyone who walks through our doors receives the same extraordinary care that has become the hallmark of our agency.”

Prior to his tenure at Trillium Heath, Barnecut-Kearns worked for Xerox Corp. for more than twenty-five years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies from Bournemouth University and is certified as a Chartered Management Accountant, as well as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Barnecut-Kearns is a 2022 recipient of the Rochester Business Journal Financial Leader’s Award. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Bivona Child Advocacy Center as treasurer and is a member of the executive committee.

Trillium Health’s Board of Directors partnered with executive search firm JK Executive Strategies, which helped to identify and appoint Barnecut-Kearns as president and CEO.
