Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex has announced a Request for Proposals for a new operator of the facility’s restaurant and bar.
With a variety of events year-round — and a focus on hockey from early fall through spring — the facility has annual foot traffic of 1.7 million.
The four-pad iceplex opened in 1998 is operated by Monroe Community Sports Centre Corp. and operates 360 days a year.
The lease with restaurant chain Bill Gray’s as restaurant operator is not being renewed. Bill Gray’s will continue to operate the restaurant and bar through March 12.
“Our facility has seen significant growth in the last year, and our team has many exciting new initiatives that will be launching in the coming months,” Chris Woodworth, the arena’s executive director, said in a news release. “This is a very exciting time for us, and an amazing opportunity for the addition of a new partner to join us, as we continue to grow in the coming years.”
Visit the facility website for more information on the RFP, and for forms.
An earlier RFP for a new naming rights partner is in the final stages.
