Brand Networks marketing acquired by Augeo
Brand Networks, a Rochester-based social media marketing firm, has been acquired by Augeo.
The acquisition was announced Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Augeo is headquartered in St. Paul, Minn., and bills itself as a leader in enterprise engagement platform technologies. Valor Siren Ventures of Chicago, a joint venture of Starbucks and Valor, partnered with Augeo on the deal.
Brand Networks was founded in 2006 by Mike Garsin, a University of Rochester graduate, and Jamie Tedford. The firm specializes in providing global enterprises with AI-powered tools that enable optimization of advertising investment and media buying.
“We are eager to cultivate Brand Networks’ innovative paid social solutions that optimize cross-platform advertising budgets with data-driven strategies,” David Kristal, Augeo founder and CEO, said in a news release. “Moreover, there is not a more authentic and inspired strategy to advance brand experiences than through the passion and advocacy of that brand’s employees, customers and partners.
“We recognize the power of synthesizing brand advocates across social media to deepen the connnection to stakeholders and local communities.”
Brand Networks uses a data-driven approach that leverages AI and machine-learning algorithms to promote authentic brand relationships with consumers on various platforms such as Meta, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Twitter and TikTok.
“As global leaders in loyalty and engagement technologies with a robust suite of solutions across workplace engagement, experiential marketing and customer loyalty, Augeo is the ideal partner to expand our reach,” Garsin said.
“For nearly two decades Brand Networks has been at the forefront of the people-based marketing wave — navigating the meteoric rise of social platforms and the transformational impact on marketing on behalf of top brand worldwide.”
Besides the Rochester headquarters, Brand Networks has offices in Boston; Bentonville, Ark.; Sydney, Australia; and Hyderabad, India.
