Electronic recycler Sunnking has launched registration for its 13th annual eScrap for Camp fundraiser to benefit Camp Good Days & Special Times.

The program recycles company and employee electronics to raise money for the camp, a nonprofit that improves the quality of life for children, adults and families whose lives have been impacted by cancer.

Businesses and organizations in Rochester can sign up through Feb. 3 for Sunnking to collect unwanted company and personal electronics. Sunnking provides boxes as well as free pickup.

A portion of the proceeds from each pound of recycled electronics goes to Camp Good Days. Last year, 356 businesses took part, with Sunnking making a donation of $12,696. Since the fundraiser began, more than $140,000 from 6.1 million pounds of recycled electronics has been donated to Camp Good Days.

“The program has evolved into more than just a fundraiser; it has grown into a yearly tradition that local communities anxiously await,” Lisa Booz, chief operating officer and Western New York regional director of Camp Good Days & Special Times, said in a news release. “It’s incredibly moving to see everyone coming together to help us provide activities for these kids like sporting events, concerts, festivals and anything to give them a break from the health battles they’re fighting.”

Visit the Sunnking website to register, and for a list of recyclable materials. Collections will begin as early as Feb. 20.
