Christine Gigante is competing in the second annual Fab Over 40, where votes can benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Winners are determined by voting, which is done in two forms: a daily vote or a “hope” vote, which is tied to donations to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. One dollar equals one vote.

“Being a quarterfinalist in the Fab Over 40 contest, representing the strength and power within two communities of inspiring women, is a real honor,” Gigante said in a news release. “Witnessing firsthand how cancer affects those you love, the importance of putting these two organizations together, and their joint impact, is near and dear to my heart.”

The contest winner will be featured in NewBeauty magazine, a spa-cation and $40,000 in cash, which Gigante said she would invest in Woofs Canine Club & Indoor Dog Park.

“Focusing on bringing dog families together, it is a place where everyone is invited to come together to live a happier and healthier life,” she said.
