Managing Partner, Insero & Co. CPAs, LLP
Years in current role: 11
What has been your organization’s biggest success over the past year?
My partners and I are committed to a program we call “#LifeAtInsero” which is an initiative to make sure our team members feel working at Insero is better than working anywhere else. This year our firm ranked number one as a best place to work in NY state amongst all industries and we made the Best Accounting Firm to Work for on Accounting Today’s national ranking for the 11th year in a row. The accounting industry has experienced significant turnover during the great resignation, but our firm has been able to keep our turnover low due to the culture we have committed to maintain. As we strive to live our core value of being “Passionate about People” this is the biggest compliment I can receive.
What are your expectations for the next 6-12 months?
I am looking forward to explosive growth in our newest advisory services. We launched a new recruiting company, Insero Talent Solutions, in order to help our clients with their recruiting challenges and we are looking forward to at least a 50% growth in that business. We also launched our Technical Accounting and Transaction Services division and have been able to assist companies going through sale transactions or in need of temporary technical assistance. Since the pandemic began, we have been able to be there for our clients in many consulting and advisory capacities.
What advice would you give somebody just starting out in your industry?
You can make your career be whatever you want it to be if you start with accounting as your foundation. There are so many opportunities within the accounting profession and the field is expanding all the time.
