CEO, AeroSafe Global
Years in current role: 9
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Honestly, I love everything about my role — the pressure to deliver, the craziness of the market demands, the intensity of the situation and most of all, the people. I believe the most important responsibility of a leader is to build great teams with great people. Yes, vision and strategy are critical to success, however, to successfully execute it’s vital to have the right people in the right seats, with everyone embracing culture and core values. AeroSafe is about people helping people, providing solutions that improve lives. So honestly, it’s easy to be motivated by that.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve dealt with over the past year?
Like all businesses, we are still finding our way through the ongoing COVID aftermath. AeroSafe was fortunate to be able to directly assist in 2020 and 2021, leveraging our 15 years’ experience delivering cold chain therapeutics via reusable thermal packaging — but never at the scale and speed necessary to help distribute over 100 million vaccines globally. We saw firsthand how common supply chain bottlenecks are and how ripe the industry was for digital innovation. That was a large part of our collective effort last year, launching digital offerings to provide newfound visibility, control and risk mitigation from within our containers.
What has been your organization’s biggest success over the past year?
We have continued to grow, and rapidly. Beyond launching digital solutions, we also opened three new sites across the US, and expanded our international presence thanks to our focus on reuse and sustainability. Our success is the result of being customer and patient obsessed – everyone we help is someone’s mother, brother, friend. The most meaningful compliment I ever received came from a customer who told me her company chose AeroSafe for who we are as much as for what we can do. To me that was a real testament to the character and positive qualities of our team.
