Over 150,000 individuals in Rochester live in food insecure homes, including 49,400 children.

To address the recent uptick in food insecurity, Bank of America donated $100 to Foodlink for each employee in Rochester who received a COVID-19 booster shot and notified the bank before the end of January.

The donation is part of a program to encourage bank employees to get boosted while supporting the overall health and well-being of the community.

Bank of America has committed a total of $10.6 million to address the increased needs experienced by hunger relief organizations across the country. The contribution is part of the bank’s efforts to address hunger relief and strengthen local communities.
