What do you enjoy most about your role?

What makes my role so enjoyable is the opportunity to embrace our culture and engage with our teammates every day. Our strong and resilient culture is one of the reasons we have been able to weather the last several challenging months with determination, collaboration, skill, and at times a sense of humor. It gives me great pride to celebrate every day our teammates and embrace our culture.

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve dealt with over the past year?

I could not be more proud of what we have accomplished over the past year. Staying connected with our teammates and clients has posed some challenges, but also provided opportunities to learn and to discover multiple ways to stay connected. Fortunately, I work for an organization that embraces technology, allowing us to deliver financial solutions to our clients without interruption and to grow the business to record levels in 2021. During the pandemic, our clients trusted our guidance and in return we have provided our steadfast commitment to keep their financial wellbeing our No. 1 priority.

What do you see as the biggest changes in the banking and finance industry in the next 3-5 years?

We’re in a unique and positive period for the industry, and over the next 3-5 years, I see a bull market for advice. One of the keys to our success, and a challenge for our industry, is how we balance high tech with high touch and deliver the resources of Modern Merrill. It’s amazing to witness how we blend the industry’s leading-edge financial planning tools and platforms, top-ranked research teams, and the most advanced digital capabilities to deliver a personalized level of service and care from our advisors to keep clients on track.

What is the No. 1 tip you would give to people or companies about planning their finances amid uncertain times?

In all times, including periods of uncertainty, what’s most important is for people or companies to meet with a qualified financial advisor and build a personalized financial strategy that aligns with their unique goals and personalized values. And then don’t stop there. Meet regularly and stay connected to track milestones and modify the plan as needs and goals change.

What community organizations do you support as a volunteer and why?

I’m involved with several local organizations, including Foodlink, the United Way, and the Veterans Outreach Center. I could not be prouder to be associated with these organizations and the amazing work they’re doing.
