ROC Freedom Riders has collaborated with Compeer Rochester on a mentoring program that will take place Sat., Sept. 25 at Monroe Square.
100 Mentors is a free outdoor community event that will highlight the power of Black and Latinx mentorship in Rochester. The event will feature vendors, activities, food trucks, resources, freebies and a community-wide photo shoot.
A neighborhood bike ride will take place from 10 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. with loaner bikes provided by HOPR Bikes and Scooter share. From noon through 3:30 p.m. more than one dozen Black and Latinx vendors will be on-site to share resources, selling products and offering their services.

Mentors who attend will have the opportunity to share their mentorship stories with media professionals for a chance to be featured by Minority Reporter, the Beat 105.5 FM, Mega 97.5 FM and other local media stations.
Compeer Rochester will present opportunities to mentor Black and Latino youth who are living with mental health challenges and who are currently on a waiting list to be assigned a mentor.
