West Herr buys Spurr Subaru

West Herr Automotive has acquired Brockport’s Spurr Subaru for an undisclosed sum.

Spurr Subaru has been in business since 2007 and was acquired by Jeff and Danielle Lash in 2019. The dealership has 22 staffers and officials expect the facility to sell 1,000 new vehicles and 800 used vehicles per year.

“It has been a pleasure working with West Herr on this transaction,” Jeff and Danielle Lash said. “We are fully confident that customers and employees alike will be delighted with this transaction.”

The Brockport location is West Herr’s second Subaru showroom and the Buffalo-based dealer’s 30th facility. West Herr now has seven dealership locations in the Rochester region. Mackenzie Fogarty, a six-year employee of West Herr, will serve as general manager of the location.

“All of us at West Herr are excited about representing the Subaru brand in Brockport,” said West Herr President and CEO Scott Bieler in a statement. “Already representing Subaru in Buffalo, we know firsthand the quality of their product and the benefit their product brings to Western New York. Jeff and Danielle Lash have represented the brand well as their time as owners and we look forward to carrying on that tradition.”

West Herr was founded in 1950 as a single-point Ford Dealership in Hamburg. It is the largest automotive group in New York state. In April 2021, West Herr acquired Vanderstyne Toyota in Greece.
