Leadership Rochester will relocate next month to the offices of the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes on College Avenue.
“We are thrilled to make this move,” Leadership Rochester Executive Director Gwen Van Laeken said in a statement. “Leadership Rochester aims to inspire, connect and educate a vibrant, diverse network of individuals who will provide leadership to transform and strengthen our Greater Rochester Region. Relocating to shared office space with United Way aligns well with our mission.”
Founded in 1991, Leadership Rochester is a local nonprofit that was formed by leaders across the region, including those from the United Way, the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, Urban League, Junior League, Rochester City School District and more. Since its inception, the organization has educated more than 1,100 area professionals.
“As a longtime supporter of this premier program, we are excited to share space with Leadership Rochester to foster even more collaboration and connection with the ultimate goal of supporting leaders who are helping our community,” said United Way President and CEO Jaime Saunders. “Leadership Rochester’s work to expand leadership skills and invest in our community through shared learning compliments United Way’s 40-year commitment to leadership development programs, and we look forward to working more closely with the organization to advance our missions of connecting leaders to community needs.”
The move from Leadership Rochester’s East Main Street location to College Avenue is expected to be complete in September.
