What do you enjoy most about your role?
Seeing a concept become a physical space that people can enjoy. Working with a great team at Wilmorite.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve dealt with over the past year?
The closing of the shopping centers and malls due to the Coronavirus caused retail tenants financial distress and resulted in significant loss for landlords.
What do you see as the biggest changes in the real estate and construction industries in the next 3-5 years?
Real Estate development in the future will face the challenges of very significant cost escalations in construction and permitting. Will rentals keep pace?
What community organizations do you support as a volunteer and why?
University of Rochester and the James P. Wilmot Foundation, which is dedicated to cancer research at the University of Rochester. Syracuse University, where I graduated and serve as a Trustee at the Engineering school. RIT, where I served as Trustee. Nazareth College, where I served as Trustee. All of which provide excellent educational opportunities. Al Sigl Center for their continued work promoting growth for challenged individuals.
What are you most looking forward to doing as COVID restrictions ease?
I am looking forward to not wearing a mask and international travel.
