What do you enjoy most about your role?
Being able to lead such an incredible team with tremendous diversity of talent, that is committed to providing innovative solutions to our clients’ needs.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve dealt with over the past year?
Maintaining the safety our people while keeping up with the ever-changing state regulations.
What do you see as the biggest changes in the real estate and construction industries in the next 3-5 years?
The continued use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation, given the shortage of labor. The focus for Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). This approach integrates people, systems, business structures and practices into a process that collaboratively harnesses the talents and insights of all participants to optimize project results, increase value to the owner, reduce waste, and maximize efficiency. Finally, owners will need to consider incorporating resiliency in every project they build.
What community organizations do you support as a volunteer and why?
I support great institutions in our community such as MCC and RIT. These two institutions are the genesis of so many great careers, and have created the foundation that Rochester is built upon. I also support St. Johns Home, which provides a vital amenity and incredible service for the elders in our community. Lastly, Rochester Downtown Development Corporation, which plays a vital role in the vitality of our downtown.
What are you most looking forward to doing as COVID restrictions ease?
Seeing our people and clients in person!
