President/CEO, Landman Real Estate Services

Years in current role: .5 (Started Jan. 1)

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Growing the company while honoring the legacy of Elliot Landsman and working hard to continue the culture that he created.

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve dealt with over the past year?

Starting a new position leading the company in the middle of a pandemic and continuing the sense of team and family while people are working from home or at sites, dealing with COVID, quarantine, etc.

What do you see as the biggest changes in the real estate and construction industries in the next 3-5 years?

Finding good quality employees to fill positions as baby-boomers prepare for retirement.

What community organizations do you support as a volunteer and why?

Primarily 46Climbs, which is a foundation that my son started to honor a friend that he lost in high school to raise awareness and funds for the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention. This started with he and his girlfriend (now wife) attempting to climb all 46 High Peaks of the Adirondacks in one-week, raising money for AFSP. Their encounter with a bear one night changed plans, but they were successful in climbing 22 peaks in six days, raising $14,000. This has grown to a national event with more than 1,000 people participating last year around the world and raising over $500,000 to date! Landsman also supports several organizations that we work with, or our employees support or participate with.

What are you most looking forward to doing as COVID restrictions ease?

Bringing people back to the office and enjoying the energy, laughter, teamwork and success that comes with that.
