Area electronics recycling firm Sunnking has added free drop-off events in Greece and Webster in the upcoming months.

Registration via the Sunnking website is required to drop off items.

There will be a recycling drop-off at Greece Arcadia High School on June 12 from 8:30 a.m. to noon and at Xerox Corp. (parking lot of building 147 on Panama Road) on Aug. 28 from 8:30 to noon.

The company already had an event planned for May 15 at the Genesee County Building 3 at 5130 E. Main St. in Batavia from 8:30 to noon.

Accepted items include computers and accessories, servers, microwaves, curling irons, toasters, televisions, fax machines, printers, answering machines, cell phones and video players.

Among the items that will not be accepted are air conditioners, refrigerators and other large appliances, smoke detectors and anything containing hazardous waste.

You can find a full list of items that will and will not be accepted by clicking the link. Because there is a cost associated with collection and recycling, the firm does accept donations.

Headquartered in Brockport, Sunnking has collected 123 million pounds of recyclable waste over the past five years.
