What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in your career?
Never compromise my integrity.
What’s been your biggest success?
My biggest success is raising a family alongside my wife of 30-plus years, Lorna; being a source of strength and stability for our extended families; and being a positive resource to my communities in Rochester and in Antigua and Barbuda.
Who have been the biggest mentors in your career?
Jane E. Toussaint (my Grandmother); Bill Rose (Chairman of Datrose, Inc.); Dr. David “Sankofa” Anderson; Clay Osborne; Joan H. Underwood (my sister).
What are your hopes for the Rochester community this year?
My hope if that Rochester moves closer to being an anti-racist community where justice and equity for all is everyone’s priority.
What do you do to unplug in your free time?
I read about African history and spirituality and I also watch a lot of international soccer.
