Doyle Security acquires two firms

Rochester’s Doyle Security Systems Inc. has expanded its reach with the acquisition of two security companies.

Doyle, the largest provider of residential and commercial security, fire and medical monitoring systems in Upstate, Western and Central New York, has acquired 4,000 alarm accounts from Hart Alarm of Albany, N.Y. The customer base features a mix of roughly 70 percent resident and 30 percent commercial accounts. Ten former Hart employees will join Doyle as the business combines with Doyle’s existing office in Albany.

Doyle also has acquired 450 alarm accounts from Austin Locksmithing & Security Inc. in Olean, Cattaraugus County. Austin Locksmithing was founded in 1972 and provides commercial and residential security services to Olean, Cattaraugus, Allegany, McKean and Potter counties, as well as the Southern Tier and Northwestern Pennsylvania. Two employees will join Doyle during the merger.

“We are incredibly excited to team up with the employees and customers of these two exceptional companies. Both the Hart family in Albany and the Austin and Barie families in Olean have developed terrific customer and employee relationships. We are proud to carry on their respective traditions of providing quality service and being great paces to work,” said Doyle Security President and CEO John Doyle Jr.

The mergers mark Doyle’s third and fourth acquisitions of 2020, having previously acquired Titan Security in Syracuse and Eltec Security in Geneva.

Doyle is a family-owned company that was founded in 1919. The company services more than 50,000 residential and commercial customers statewide and in Pennsylvania.
