The city of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology’s Center for Urban Entrepreneurship, JP Morgan Chase and Living Cities have joined forces to create a resource website for entrepreneurs.

Nexusi90.org will provide a vast array of details on how to start a business as well as marketing, hiring and networking advice for existing businesses.

“With this website, we are providing the residents of Rochester and beyond with the tools and knowledge they need to achieve economic equality by helping them start, fund and grow a business,” Mayor Warren said in a news release. “As we build personal wealth and job opportunities in our communities, we inherently create safer, more vibrant neighborhoods, which leads to better educational opportunities.”

Businesses can also find information regarding loans, grants and other funding methods. A sortable resource navigator makes finding information on specific needs less cumbersome, and a calendar will show upcoming workshops and networking events.

“Nexus i90 will open the virtual door for so many small businesses and entrepreneurs looking to grow right here in the Greater Rochester area,” said Thelma Ferguson, northeast head of middle market banking for JPMorgan Chase.

The website launch will be streamed live on the city’s Facebook page at 2 p.m. today.
