4. War Requiem

Eastman School of Music presents Benjamin Britten’s “War Requiem,” a powerful choral masterpiece that denounces war and honors those who have fallen. The requiem requires two orchestras, a symphonic chorus, a children’s chorus and soloists; it is a large-scale work that is rarely performed. Featured groups include the Eastman-Rochester Chorus, Eastman Chorale, Bach Children’s Chorus of Nazareth College and more. 8 p.m. on Friday, March 6 in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. esm.rochester.edu
