Nazareth College on Monday will announce the successor to President Daan Braveman, who plans to step down after 15 years as president.
The college has led a quiet presidential search, inviting finalists to the campus without alerting the public. The Washington, D.C. firm of AGB Search, which specializes in higher education executive searches, assisted.
The new president will be the 10th in the college’s history, arriving in July and commencing her or his service as Nazareth prepares for its centenary in 2024.
An alert from the school on Thursday said the announcement would be made at noon Monday in the Jane and Laurence Glazer Music Performance Center.
Braveman, a lawyer who had been Dean of Syracuse University College of Law before coming to Nazareth, was inaugurated as president in 2005. He has been the college’s longest-serving president.
Monday’s announcement, including comments from the president-elect, will be streamed online on the college’s website.
