Faraci Lange and Gorbel were selected as the winners of the 2019 Ethie Awards, announced Monday night at Geva Theatre Center.
The Ethies are an annual award ceremony held by the Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation (RABEF) designed to recognize businesses who excel in ethical business practices. Hosted by Evan Dawson, this year’s awards ceremony at the Geva Theatre celebrated seven finalists. In addition to the winners, the 2019 finalists were Excellus BCBS, JN White, John Betlem Heating & Cooling, CP Rochester and Universal Imports of Rochester.
Faraci Lange, which was also a finalist in 2018, is a law firm founded in 1968 that handles all types of personal injury cases and has been honored for its expertise in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice and products liability.
“Faraci Lange is honored and grateful to receive this award. It is indeed gratifying to be recognized for endeavoring as a firm to always do the right thing, even when it is hard, and uphold the highest ethical standards,” said Faraci Lange Managing Partner Stephen G. Schwarz. “We are fortunate to live in a community that has a volunteer organization like the Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation that, through extensive efforts of volunteers, promotes and rewards business ethics. All of the finalists were extremely impressive and deserve recognition for their commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and we are humbled to be chosen this year from among such a great group of finalists.”
Gorbel is an industry leader in overhead materials handling, ergonomic lifting and industrial fall protection founded in 1977.
Faraci Lange and Gorbel, along with other winners from across the nation, are eligible to enter the national competition, the American Business Ethics Awards.
