Honeysuckle is first on the docket. The progressive acoustic trio was named Best Folk Artist at the 2018 Boston Music Awards. Honeysuckle effortlessly blends traditional instrumentation of bluegrass and folk with modern effects, beautiful songwriting and masterful, intricate arrangements.
The trio consists of Holly McGarry, Benjamin Burns and Chris Bloniarz. The Boston-based band performs across the country playing alongside bands like Del and Dawg, The David Grisman Sextet, The Ballroom Thieves, Boy & Bear and more.
Honeysuckle’s distinct brand of baroque, elevated Americana has earned them appearances at the Newport Folk Festival, Lollapalooza and Mountain Jams. Four years in a row the band was nominated for Best Folk Artist of the Year and Best Americana Artist of the Year at the Boston Music Awards. They were also placed in the Top 10 Bands of 2016 So Far list, which is compiled by National Public Radio.
The band released “Catacombs,” their sophomore album, in late 2017. Their first full-length album, “Honeysuckle,” came out in 2016, and their first EP, “Arrows,” was released in 2015. Honeysuckle is currently working on their third album.
