Rochester ended the year on a high note, with more jobs and a lower unemployment rate, the state Department of Labor reported this week. Rochester gained 2,700 nonfarm jobs from December 2017 to December 2018, or 0.5 percent, not seasonally adjusted. Private-sector job gains were 2,500.
