Livingston County’s “no nonsense” car dealer is teaming with WHAM’s home repair personality on a new radio talk show.
The “No Nonsense Roundtable” will feature Genesee Valley Motors owner Dom Genova and WHAM’s “Home Repair Clinic” host Jim Salmon, as well as special guests who will discuss a different topic each week.
“We are looking to provide an entertaining and informative forum for individuals and businesses to help people make educated decisions and purchases,” Genova said in a statement. “We will cover a broad spectrum of topics and our intent is to invite guests who come from a vast variety of backgrounds.”
The show’s first guest will be Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Bob Duffy. Guests are expected to “engage, inform and entertain listeners with relevant and timely information.” The show will debut Jan. 26 and will run Saturdays from 10 to 11 a.m. on WHAM 1180.
Both Salmon and Genova have a passion for educating consumers. Salmon has been on the air for 30 years helping thousands of listeners weekly make informed decisions about home maintenance and repair. Genova has been in the automotive industry for more than four decades and has licensed his “no nonsense” sales philosophy.
“We want this to be both informative and fun,” Genova said. “We’ll ask our guests to tell us something we don’t know but need to know.”
