MacGregor’s Grill and Tap Room opened a fifth location on Monday, following months of construction work to renovate the former Zebb’s restaurant in Brighton.
Owner Rick Carvotta said the restaurant now features an open floor plan, and a bar about four times as large as the one in Zebb’s. The establishment also includes a patio facing South Clinton Avenue. It’s located in the parking lot of the Tops Plaza.
The restaurant will operate from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. As with other MacGregor’s, this one will feature 80 beers on tap, including about 10 locally brewed beers.
The restaurant employs 30 to 35 people, Carvotta said. MacGregor’s has been in business since 1989, starting with its original location on Gregory Street in the South Wedge.
The other locations are Buffalo Road in Gates, Empire Boulevard in Penfield, Center Place Drive in Greece and Jefferson Road in Henrietta.
