Five Star Bank announces the hiring of John Berry, Mark Magee and Kerth Friel.

Berry has been hired as senior vice president and commercial market executive. His responsibilities include expanding the bank’s business in conventional project financing and affordable housing. He previously served as first vice president of commercial real estate for First Niagara Bank.

Magee has been hired as vice president and director of treasury services. Magee manages the cash management business for commercial customers and prospects. He previously worked in banking treasury management at HSBC Bank N.A.

Friel has been hired as loan administration manager. His duties include commercial loan closing and fund processing. He recently worked as senior closing coordinator for community development lending at KeyBank N.A.
