The Genesee Country Village & Museum once again celebrates Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of the “Little House on the Prairie” books, this weekend.
Wilder Weekend includes special guests Brenda and Wendi Turnbaugh, the twins who portrayed Grace Ingalls on the 1970s hit television show based on the series. They will give a presentation on their favorite memories from the show and share anecdotes about the lasting friendships they made with their cast mates. Following their talk, they will be available for a meet and greet.
Author Robynne Elizabeth Miller will also be on hand. She is a big fan of Wilder and wrote the book “Nonfiction, Memoir, or Fiction? Dissecting the Works of Laura Ingalls Wilder.” She will offer a presentation and book signing.
The museum will also host period appropriate activities from frontier life.
“Wilder Weekend” takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. gcv.org
