Independence Day is just around the corner, and The Penthouse at One East Avenue is celebrating with a 360-degree view of Rochester’s fireworks show. From its 11-story outdoor deck, visitors will see fireworks from Frontier Field, the City of Rochester and from neighboring suburbs. Doors open at 8 p.m. on July 4. penthouseroc.com

1. Mostly in New York

Mostly in New York is the title of Image City Photography Gallery’s third show of 2020. Devin Mack is the featured artist, and he is exhibiting a collection of his works on aluminum and print. Pictured is Mack’s “Erie Canal.” On display through March 22. imagecityphotographygallery.com

2. St. Patrick’s Day Crawl

Casa Larga is hosting its annual St. Patrick’s Day Crawl this weekend, and attendees are invited to sip, sample and shop their way through 10 local businesses in Fairport. Some of the participating businesses include: Musaic Creative Project; Firehouse Wood Works; Lift Bridge Yarns; Amazing Grains Bread Co.; and Moonlight Creamery. 3. ShamROCin St. Patrick’s Day celebration

The Penthouse at One East Avenue is hosting a ShamROCin St. Patrick’s Day celebration this weekend during the parade. From 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a cash bar with drink specials, food from The Hideaway and live music by Hall Pass and Sisters of Murphy. penthouseroc.com

4. WindSync

Eastman School of Music’s James E. Clark Chamber Music Residency is hosting WindSync wind quintet next week. Two members of the quintet are Eastman alumni, and a third did graduate work at Eastman. WindSync will perform at noon on March 17 in Hatch Recital Hall, followed by a public masterclass from 3 to 5:30 p.m. esm.rochester.edu

5. Cry It Out

Geva Theatre Center’s Fielding Studio Series continues with Molly Smith Metzler’s “Cry It Out.” Directed by M. Bevin O’Gara, Jessie is cooped up with her new baby and starved for adult conversation, so she invites her funny neighbor Lina, who is also a new mother, for coffee in the yard between their houses. The two become fast friends as they take an honest look at the challenges of being a new mom. Performances run through March 22. gevatheatre.org
