The Kitchen, a restaurant that opened in the village of Pittsford in late 2015, has earned AAA’s Four Diamond award for the first time.
AAA Western and Central New York announced on Thursday morning its 2017 Four-Diamond awards for 22 restaurants and inns, including five in the Rochester area. All the other local establishments on the list have been there in previous years.
According to AAA, to earn the Four Diamond designation, hotels must provide “personalized experience and attentive service in comfortable, high-quality surroundings.” Restaurants with this designation “offer a distinctive fine-dining experience and attentive service… Menu offerings are typically distinguished by highly creative chefs using top-quality ingredients.”
The Kitchen, overseen by Chef Joseph Cippola, offers a single seating each night that it’s open, with a menu that changes every few weeks.
