Emerging female leaders to be honored at summit

Six local women will be honored Tuesday at the 20th annual Rochester Women’s Network Summit Business Conference.

The full-day conference, titled “Women in the Driver’s Seat: Navigating Pathways and Detours Along the Road to Success,” will honor Ashley Wyland, Erin Garrett, Linda Heeler, Megan Flanagan Mills, Randi Nicole Proukou and Mercedes Vazquez Simmons as emerging women leaders.

The event will kick off with a panel discussion moderated by Jill Wesley, director of career services at SUNY College at Brockport. Four breakout sessions will feature sessions including “All Roads Lead to Sales!,” “Carpooling: Collaboration to Move Forward,” “Where Do You Want to Go?” and “Changing the Tires on the Bus, While it is Moving – Reinventing Your Professional Self.”

“The summit is a hidden gem within Rochester conferences,” said event chair Miranda Wilcox, in a statement. “We have the expertise and offerings of a large professional event, with the engagement and interaction of a more intimate gathering. It’s always exciting, informative and memorable.”

Registration for the event, being held at the DoubleTree in Henrietta, is available at www.rwn.org.
