Join Rochester Education Foundation at A Toast to REF and Our Partners 2017 for our annual tribute to great partners of city school students. We welcome you to this community-wide event honoring the individuals, programs, and partners who help Rochester’s city school students succeed. Honorees are Sharon Jackson, Andrea Garfield, Sharon and Larry Nazarian and Mary Zadorozny. This festive evening will offer delicious cocktails, wine and hot and cold hors d’oeuvres by La Luna in the dramatic La Luna Banquet Center overlooking the Genesee River gorge from 5:30 to 8 p.m. There will be a silent auction and musical entertainment. Charles Settlement House is marking 100 years of service to the community with a celebration and awards luncheon at the Diplomat Banquet Center. Charles House began its mission serving immigrants arriving into northwest Rochester, particularly in the neighborhoods around Jay Street, Broad Street and Lyell Avenue and provided language instruction, health care and help finding employment. Today, Charles Settlement House continues to help some of Rochester’s poorest residents create a better life. Bivona Child Advocacy Center will host its 15th Annual CHEERS for Children! event from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at ARTISANworks.
