Athena Award nominees sought

This year marks the 32nd year the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate, the Women’s Council, have recognized local businesswomen with the Athena Award. The group seeks nominees for its 2018 Athena and Athena Young Professional awards.

The annual awards luncheon is slated for Jan. 25, 2018. The deadline to nominate is Sept. 29.

The Athena Award recognizes women who are achievers in the workplace and give back to the community. These women also support others in their attainment of excellence at work and leadership skills.

Last January, Nanette Nocon, private wealth adviser for Nocon & Associates, Ameriprise Financial Services Inc., received the 2017 Athena Award. Melisza Campos, vice president of operations and instruction and master trainer with Dale Carnegie, received the third annual Athena Young Professional Award, which recognizes emerging women leaders 45 and younger.

To nominate, visit ROCWomensCouncil.org.  Only online submissions will be accepted.
