College at Brockport receives $11,000 grant from Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation

SUNY College at Brockport has been awarded an $11,000 grant from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, officials said Monday.

The funding will support people with disabilities through the foundation’s Quality of Life program. The grant was given to Brockport’s Committee on Disability and Access to purchase sport wheelchairs.

The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation is a national nonprofit that aims to improve the quality of life for individuals living with paralysis.

It was started 18 years ago and awarded over $22 million in grants—including $809,291 during the first grant cycle this year to 90 nonprofits nationwide, officials said.
